The NLMTC began by hosting two preliminary sessions with teachers on November 8, 2010 and March 7, 2011. The response of the teachers was tremendous, and we offered an immersion workshop for four days in July 2011. This workshop provided 28 hours of professional development and allowed teachers from different school districts to become comfortable with each other. This was followed by six 2011-12 academic year sessions and eight 2012-13 academic year sessions. Each academic year session starts at 5 pm with a meal, and then the teachers are involved in working on math problems from 5:30 – 8 pm. During the Fall of 2013 we held three monthly meetings in September, October and November. For the Spring 2014 there were five meetings planned for January 13, February 3, March 3, April 7 and May 5. We have eight meetings planned for the 2014-15 year. These are scheduled for September, October, November, January, February, March, April and May.
